What’s New

Next Week at the Community Center

Monday August 25  mosaic wheel rim planters, very unique and just the right size for a colorful annual flowerpop of color in your garden.

Wednesday August 27th  we finish the planters. The Center will close at 12:00noon so that MCA employees may attend a recognition lunch, in thanks for many years of dedicated service.

Monday September 1 we will be closed for Labor Day.

It is time to renew the applications for USDA commodities 2014-2015. The next distribution is scheduled for Wednesday September 17th and you must have an updated card if the Mooresburg Community Association picks up for you. Stop into the center for an application before September 10th. If you pick up your own commodities, you may stop into the Neighborhood Service Center in Rogersville or fill out an application at the distribution on the 17th.

Energy Assistance applications will be available on October 1st. The application must be filled out entirely, accompanied by proof of income, and this means a copy of the award letter from Social Security if you receive your income from SS, a bank statement will not be accepted. A copy of all household members’ social security card and a copy of your highest energy bill from the last 12 months.

The application will be mailed, but they are going to the LIHEAP office in Kingsport, not Rogersville, as in the past. If you want an application, please come to the community center.
