PROGRAM CHANGES FOR 2015
FEEDING AMERICA MOBILE FOOD PANTRY
The food truck will continue to set up on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Open Arms Mission parking Lot on Calvary Church Road.
THE FOOD WILL BE DISTRIBUTED AT 9AM- 10AM.
Check in will begin at 8am. A volunteer will check you in at your car per usual.
We do not share the food truck with Hancock County any more so:
IF HAWKINS COUNTY SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED OR DELAYED, THE FOOD TRUCK WILL NOT RUN.
Please bring a representative from each household to sign the check in sheets. For any information, please call 423-923-1488.
MCA FOOD PANTRY
The Mooresburg Community center Food Pantry will continue to be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 1pm.
Our funding for the IGA vouchers has ended
We will be distributing some fresh and frozen foods, when available in addition to the non perishable foods you are already receiving. Visits must be at least 30 days apart.
Please bring proof of income or government assistance to receive your allotment. We cannot distribute food without these items.
- The Appalachian Regional Commission has awarded funding to reinstate our medical transport program which provides a dedicated vehicle and driver to get you to the doctor or hospital for an appointment.
- You will be picked up at your home, transported to your appointment, our driver will stay with you until you are ready for your return drive home. No need to travel with a group or experience long wait times for your return home.
